Make the Most of your 2007 Flex Dollars

Do not lose valuable pretax dollars. If you have a balance remaining from 2007, take advantage of your Flex dollars and file claims for out-of-pocket eligible health care expenses incurred from August to December 2007 by March 31, 2008.  You can also use your 2007 FSA medical contributions to cover health care expenses incurred between January 1st and March 15th of this year.

What is New for 2008 Flex Spending Participants
Your Flex Account and the Choice Fund HRA Plan

If you are a Choice Fund HRA member participating in the Flex plan this year, remember to use your FSA funds for deductible expenses only after exhausting your HRA account balance. Deductible expenses must be paid out of your HRA first.  If you use flex funds prior to exhausting your HRA balance, you will have to refund your flex account.

NEW - Change for 2008

In order to ensure employees can control how they use their flex account, the auto reimbursement feature for out of pocket dental expenses has been removed. If you wish to have out of pocket dental expenses reimbursed, you simply file a claim directly with Interactive Medical Systems.  If you wish to use your debit card at the time of service, remind your dentist to only deduct your out-of -pocket balance rather than the total amount of the service.

Accessing your Flex Account

Visit www.wakeemployees.com and click on the MBI Flex Account Web access icon located at the bottom of the homepage to receive information about your claims status and most importantly your account balance.

If you are a first time user, you will need your Flex Debit card to create your online account.  Simply click on the Employee and Cardholder icon on the MBI Flex Account homepage, create an account and follow the instructions. When registering, please note that your employee id number is your social security number.  Your User Id must have six characters “not” four as indicated on the website. To download a copy of a flex reimbursement claim form, visit www.wakeemployees.com/benefits and click on the forms link.
