The County Manager will encourage participation in personnel training and development programs, which enhance an employee's skills and promote effective public service.

 

It is the policy of the County to provide full support to the human resources training and development program, which enhances skills and abilities of employees, increases productivity and assures more efficient and effective service to citizens.  It is the responsibility of the Human Resources and other administrative officials to:

                       

Maintain training and development priorities commensurate with needs of county government.
Maintain awareness of training opportunities available to Wake County.                        
Coordinate relevant outside training programs and seminars available to County employees.                        
Maintain records of opportunity for training.
