Financial Management
- People in financial roles in the organization – not just those in Finance – will use eWake. In addition, those who help process P-Card transactions for their departments, managerial staff members who approve transactions, and employees throughout Wake County who will use financial reports to support decision making. All of these groups are eWake users.
- Departmental staff who are an “arm’s length” from transactions will be instrumental in verifying that transactions are valid and complete. Departmental staff, not Finance staff downtown and several steps removed, are in the best position to verify that county resources are being handled properly.
- Anyone who processes a payment or a contract, authorizes or approves transactions, or needs to know what is going on in a departmental budget from funding to reporting will be using the new eWake project.

Human Resources Management
People using the Human Resources Management (HRM) system will include:
- Wake County employees, who will use the system to enroll in and/or change their benefit elections and tax withholdings, view current and prior paystubs and W-2's, complete timesheets and update personal contact information.
- Job applicants, who will create and store resumes/applications in the system.
- Hiring managers and HR, who will correspond electronically with applicants.
- HR Departmental Representatives, who will use the system to track and maintain employees in their respective department.
